As part of the Word 2018 Festival the Word Garden in Kings Square Gardens was opened on 6th June. The opening was attended by Cllr Dave Poyser and Cllr Claudia Webbe, with local children and representatives from St Luke's over 55s and All Change.

The garden includes benches covered in poetry written by locals with contributions from St Luke's over 55s and has plants for those with sensory impairments to enjoy. It is a tranquil and restful space in the middle of EC1, and locals are encouraged to visit. The Garden is inspired by memories of the park and the local area.
